  • Fun Fair Friday!

    Fri 22 Oct 2021

Today we turned our school into a fun fair! We had a whole day celebration to raise awareness of the Showman community and the history of fairs within our communities which have run for 100's of years. Mr Noyce led our assembly today and gave the children an overview of the history of the fair and the standards that that all showman are required to undertake to make sure all the rides are safe. He talked about the skill of sign writing and explained how he was the 8th generation of a showman in his family. Mr and Mrs Noyce also brought one of their fair ground rides for all to have a go on and the children were absolutely thrilled! In addition, Mrs Noyce made traditional candy floss for the whole school to enjoy too...yum! During the day the children took part in a number of activities to explore the history of the fair and ended their day with a multitiude of games run by the PTA for t-set.

A huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Noyce for an absolutely fabulous day. The children have talked about it non-stop!

    Fri 08 Oct 2021

On Friday the JRSOs led a fun filled day, and encouraged the whole school to come dressed in bright clothes to raise awareness of road safety. It couldn’t have been a better day for it, as we set off as a school community for our first trip to the church! It was impossible to miss St Mark’s as they walked up in their fantastic brightly coloured clothes.

During the day there were many competitions and prizes to be won for best dressed, best song/dance and best t-shirt design but EVERYONE got a sticker and a badge for taking part in the day.

    Wed 06 Oct 2021

We are excited to announce that the PTA are organising their very first Scarecrow Trail for October Half Term. They would like you to make and display your own Scarecrow in your front gardens ready for local families to follow the Scarecrow trail and vote for their favourite.

If you don't have a garden but would like to take part please let them know - they will find you a garden to display your scarecrow in!

This will be a fun, family activity and they can't wait to see your wonderful creations.

Please be mindful that young children will be following the trail so no scary scarecrows please!

Scarecrow entries cost £5 and will close on Monday 11th October (to give the PTA time to produce the trail map).

Trail maps costing £2 each will be on sale from Monday 18th October.

There will be prizes for every scarecrow entered, plus a grand prize for the winning scarecrow voted for by families following the trail. There will also be a completed trail competition winner which will be picked at random by Mrs Stocchetti.
