  • Nativity and Carol Service

    Sun 09 Dec 2018

The whole school gathered at St Mark's Church on Sunday afternoon to perform our Infant Nativity, "Shine, Star, Shine". The children were ably accompanied by the Junior department, singing a range of beautiful Christmas carols. The church was packed with friends and families who all thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Well done children you were all SHINING stars!

  • Christingle Service 2018

    Mon 03 Dec 2018

All the children of St Mark's spent time today making wonderful Christingles and learning about the significance of each part.

    • The orange represents the world.
    • The red ribbons shows God's love wrapped around the world and the blood Christ shed.
    • The 4 sticks and sweets stand for the seasons and God's creations.
    • The candle symbolizes Jesus - the light of the world.

We then came together as a school, lighting our Christingles and watching the lights flicker in the darken hall. A time for reflection before joining in with two rousing songs celebrating the meaning of the Christingle.

Thank you to our volunteers who came to help make the Christingles with the children and to Mrs Watson for getting 22 bags of oranges!
