Admission to Year R (reception) 2021

16 April 2021 is the national notification date for parents who applied on-time for a Year R place for September 2021.

HCC are expecting an extremely high volume of calls from families with children due to start Year R in September 2021. In order to support parents, schools and the Admissions Team at this busy time, they are putting the following arrangements in place:

  • the website www.hants.gov.uk/admissions will link to Frequently Asked Questions pages that provide answers to most queries, including what to do if parents haven’t received the outcome of their application or if they are unhappy with the school offer received.  Please look her in the first instance.
  • HCC are planning to add webchat to the web pages in order to address straightforward queries quickly
  • HCC will be extending their opening times with School Admissions phone lines open between 8:30am and 7:30pm on Friday 16th, Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th April.  For data protection reasons, we can only speak to the person who submitted the application. The  number is 0300 555 1377

Accepting the Year R offer and providing school with evidence of DoB and address

This year, HCC will be reverting back to the usual process of asking parents to confirm their acceptance of their offer of a Year R place by providing the school with evidence of their date of birth and address. However, to comply with social distancing requirements and minimise the spread of Covid-19, you are asked NOT to visit the school until invited to do so. You should wait for us to contact you with details of our arrangements for accepting evidence.

Welcome to St Mark's CE Primary School

Sadly, due to these challenging times, we are unable to welcome you into our school, but our school Ambassadors have put together a wonderful 'taste' of what life is like here at St Mark's CE Primary School.

If your child will be 4 years old between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, they will be due to start school in September 2021.

We held 3 live remote meetings (via Teams) in the Autumn Term with the Headteacher and School Ambassadors, for any parents who wanted to hear a bit more about our school and ask any questions. Thank you to those families who joined us.

I hope that you enjoy the video above, made especially for you by our school Ambassadors.
