Whole School Collective Worship at St Mark's church
'Recognising Jesus'
The whole school took part in a collective worship service led by Rev Martin James. The theme for our service was 'recognising Jesus' based on the reading from Luke 24:13-35 'On the Road to Emmaus'.
During the service all children received the 'Bread of Friendship', which served as a reminder of when Jesus broke the bread with his disciples.
Year 4 wrote and delivered some very moving, heart-warming prayers about the wonder that faith can bring.
Many children commented on how much they had enjoyed the worship in church and we look forward to planning more collective worships in this way for the children.
