Meet our new Cyber Ambassadors who were trained by Marcia Tanyanyiwa from the Office of the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

Marcia spent the whole day in school and taught our new ambassadors about a variety of safety concerns in today’s digital world . They are now looking forward to helping keep our pupils safe online and will begin to teach this information to all the children across the school through a variety of ways such as assemblies, information talks and lessons.

  • Author visit! Billy Bob Buttons!

    Thu 27 Feb 2020

Today, we were visited by an author: Billy Bob Buttons. He writes a vast range of books for children of all ages. He writes books about mystery and adventure such as 'I think I murdered Miss' and 'Tour'. Mr Buttons came in and conducted amazing workshops for 1-2,3-4 and 5-6. He told us the key points of how to write a story such as how to plan a story, how to have an interesting plot, how important it is to re-draft. He was very funny and interesting!

He has really inspired us for World Book Day next week!

  • Parents Maths Workshops

    Thu 13 Feb 2020
This week saw two wonderful workshops for parents to come and enjoy Maths with their children. KS2 began focusing on removing the fear behind fractions and KS1 continued with the benefit of playing games using Maths. There were many extremely positive comments from the parents, who all really enjoyed spending time learning with their children. It was fantastic to see so many parents attending these sessions. Our thanks go to Mrs Harding and Mrs Wheatland for organising these brilliant events!
  • Inside Out Day 2020

    Thu 06 Feb 2020

The children enjoyed coming to school today with their uniform inside out to raise awareness of children's mental health and well-being.

"Inside Out Day calls for children and adults alike to wear an item of clothing ’Inside Out’ as a way of making us all stop and think about how someone may look OK on the outside 😊 but inside they may be feeling sad or worried 😒. The first ever Inside Out Day for Children’s Mental Health Week will take place this year on Thursday 6 February 2020. The aim of Inside Out Day is to remind everyone to always be kind and think of others as no one knows how another person may be feeling. Schools across the country are being urged to support this new initiative – a simple premise, easy to implement and a meaningful way to engage pupils in discussions around emotional well-being."

This week our T-set money will be donated to the charity.
