  • Visit from the Diocese Director of Educaton

    Tue 27 Sep 2016

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Canon Dr Stephen Green, the Diocese Director of Education, to St Mark's on Tuesday. The children and staff talked about the fantastic learning that happens here whilst he toured the school.

We were so pleased to feature on Stephen's twitter feed following his visit and look forward to welcoming him back to our school in the future.

  • Silver School Games Award

Fri 16 Sep 2016 Nicola Smith

We received some incredibly exciting news this week, that St Mark's had been awarded a Silver School Games Award for commitment to competition and dedication in school sport and games. This is especially hard for a small school to gain as it requires lots of teams in many different sports. It shows how adaptable our children are to be able to turn their hand to a full range of sports and compete in competitions against other schools. Well Done St Mark's, we are very proud of all your sporting achievements!

Please visit our PE page to see the logo and certificate.

  • Rushmoor in Bloom Awards 2016

    Thu 15 Sep 2016

Today the Year 1 children and their siblings joined Mrs Stocchetti, Miss Davenport and Mrs Miles at the Rushmoor in Bloom Awards ceremony where they were presented with the 'Highly Commended' Award by the Mayor of Rushmoor, Cllr Jacqui Vosper, for their fabulous, creative rendition of Mr McGregor's Garden!

When the judges visited in July they were astonished at the confidence and levels of independence demonstrated by our Year R children, who showed them around and explained the process of how the garden had been created.

We are truly proud of all the Year 1 children  (who took part as Year R) and their perseverance with making Mr McGregor's garden the talk of the school!

    Well done!

  • Year 1/2 Visit the FAST Museum

Tue 13 Sep 2016 Mrs Nicola Smith

Year 1/2 had an amazing morning visiting the FAST museum in Farnborough. We loved hearing all about Samuel Cody, seeing the fantastic replica of the Cody Flyer and having fun learning about the other aeroplanes. The children were impeccably behaved and have made a great start to their new topic "Flying Hero". Our thanks go to the volunteers at the museum who hosted our wonderful tour. Take a look at our class page for more of todays photographs!
