  • Pause Day and Easter Service

Wed 29 Mar 2023 Mrs Smith

On Wednesday 29th March, we held our annual Pause Day which included our Easter Service at St Mark's Church. During the morning the children visited prayer stations set up the hall, allowing time for reflection and quiet. In the classrooms each class focused on "witnesses" during the Easter story. A beautiful end to day was to celebrate in church with our families and the St Mark's congregation. The children retold parts of the Easter story, using songs, poems, actions and bible passage. Yr5/6 wrote a fitting prayer to conclude our service. A huge thank you to Rev Stephen Mourant for coming to spend the day at St Mark's, he helped with our prayer stations, was quizzed by each class with their "big questions" and finally lead our service at the church.

It was a very special day for the children to "pause" and reflect on the things which are important to them.
