On Friday evening a group of our children and their parents attended an Ogden Trust Stargazing event. They were joined by children from the other partnership schools.
The children started the evening as Astronomers looking at diagrams of the night sky with torches. They ticked off the different constellations they saw on their check list. They also shone the torches through discs to make constellations on the tables and walls. After that they became Astronauts and watched a video about stargazing while drinking hot chocolate and eating biscuits. Finally they became Aerospace Engineers and needed to build a rocket for the girl in the story to travel to space in. Some of the rockets hit the ceiling!
Two of our wonderful Science Ambassadors were also at the event helping with the rocket activity. All of the children had an amazing time and proudly represented St Mark's!
