Every year, the Executive Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and staff (working alongside the Governing Body) reflect on the successes and areas for development in all aspects of the school. The result of that self-evaluation is the SIP (School Improvement Plan). This is a vital document to drive forward school improvement and enables leaders to put on paper the priorities for the academic year.
The key priorities for St Mark’s for 2024-2025 are:
- To ensure children have a consistent learning experience across the school so that every learner is provided with the opportunity to make progress and achieve high success rate.
- Every teacher has high aspirations for underserved learners (including the bottom 20%) and delivers a curriculum that enables them to make maximum progress.
- Children take a positive and active part in all aspects of school life, including within the community .
- Children to exemplify the school’s Learning Values and be able to explain how these help them, and others, learn.
- All members of the school community are provided with timely and appropriate support in order to help support their well-being and help them to flourish.
- Leadership ensures that all aspects of teaching, learning and the curriculum are highly effective.
- All leaders take accountability and are responsible for school wide improvements
- Governors/SLT secure the future leadership of the School .
