Update on the Coronavirus

Dear parents and carers,

We closely monitor the current updates on the Coronavirus COVID-19. Following the Government’s COBRA meeting yesterday and information that has been issued to our school by Public Health England, we are taking the following precautions at St Mark’s Primary School with immediate effect.

Any child who has a temperature of 37.8 degrees or more and/or a cough will not be permitted to attend school for seven days. Any child who presents with either of these symptoms in school will be sent home to be isolated for seven days.

If you as a parent or carer are sent home from work or instructed by health officials to self-isolate due to symptoms or have been exposed to a possible case of Corona virus COVID-19 your child must also remain at home for at least seven days.

We will send updates on any further information as it comes in.

These are very difficult and challenging times for schools and we must do our upmost to protect our community and the welfare of our children and school staff.

We thank you for your understanding and support in this difficult period of time and appreciate your understanding of the priority and importance of safeguarding our whole community.
