Pause Day
Today the whole school took part in Pause Day. We started by holding a virtual Easter Service from our classrooms and broadcast it live to the whole school via TEAMs. The theme was the "Tale of the 3 Trees" which told the story of three trees with big dreams who became very special parts of Jesus' life. In our classrooms we continued the reflective activities focusing on the events and journeys of Easter. We set up the playground as our prayer space for the morning. Here the children took part in quiet, reflection activities which included blowing our worries away with bubbles, planting seeds for growth in our school community and drawing chalk hearts whilst praying for our loved ones. Pause Day is one of our favourite St Mark's celebrations and although this year was a little different with the COVID restrictions, it didn't stop us having our usual extremely special day.
