The Enormous Turnip!
The whole Infant Department took to the stage to perform a wonderful version of the Russian folk tale, The Enormous Turnip. The children thoroughly enjoyed the catchy songs and loved working together to create an excellent performance! The school hall was transformed into the rolling countryside where an old man tended his beautiful garden, growing colourful vegetables whilst being surrounded by friendly animals. His family and friends all worked together to pull up an unusually large turnip! In the end it was a little mouse who saved the day and by helping each other the stubborn turnip popped out of the ground. It was made into a delicious turnip dinner for them all to share.
