Remembrance 2025

Remembrance 2025

'When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say,
For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.'

We gathered together on the front playground to mark Remembrance Day. Each class designed and made a beautiful poopy wreath to lay. Whilst the Spirituality Team read the famous poem "In Flanders Field", the children from our service families performing a moving poem titled "Our Heroes". Together we sang "Peace is flowing" before laying the wreaths while Mrs Jones read the exhortation.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them."

Rev Dianna joined us for the two minute silence, followed by the The Last Post and  then closed our service with the traditional prayer which is said every year at The Cenotaph.
