Advent Lantern Procession
Families from school were invited by St Mark's Church to join the Advent Lantern Procession on Saturday evening to mark the beginning of Advent. The children made beautiful lanterns at school and came with their families to walk in the dark to the church, guided by the light of the lanterns. Once in the church the lanterns were placed at the alter. The church was decorated ready for the Advent Festival which we are looking forward to seeing on Wednesday afternoon. Thank you to all the families who came to join the procession and enjoyed hot chocolate and marshmallows afterwards.
