Quality Improvement Plan

Every year, the Executive Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and staff (working alongside the AQC) reflect on the successes and areas for development in all aspects of the school. The result of that self-evaluation is the QIP (Quality Improvement Plan). This is a vital document to drive forward school improvement and enables leaders to put on paper the priorities for the academic year.

The key priorities for St Mark’s for 2024-2026 are:

  1. To ensure children have a consistent learning experience across the school so that every learner is provided with the opportunity to make progress and achieve high success rate.
  2. Every teacher has high aspirations for  underserved learners (including the bottom 20%) and delivers a curriculum that enables them to make maximum progress.
  3. Children take a positive and  active part in all aspects of school life, including within the community .
  4. All members of the school community are provided with timely and appropriate support in order to help support their well-being and help them to flourish.
  5. All leaders take accountability and are responsible for school wide improvements ensuring that all aspects of teaching, learning and the curriculum are highly effective.
  6. Spiritual reflection opportunities are incorporated into the curriculum.
  7. Children have a deeper understanding of the biblical inspiration for, and application of, the school's core Christian values (Circle Values)

Please find below the SIP for 2024-2026 showing the actions we intend to take this year towards these priority areas:
