The beginning of Lent
This week during worship we have marked the beginning of Lent with some special events; firstly our wonderful Spirituality Team lead a beautiful Shrove Tuesday worship which even included pancake races. The following day we welcomed Rev Stephen to lead an Ash Wednesday worship which focused on the positives during Lent. This tied in beautifully with our theme this year of daily Acts of Kindness. We started yesterday with "putting others first".
Dear God,
Thank you that during Lent we can think more about you and focus on you.
We pray that you will help us with the positive things we choose to do this Lent.
We pray also for all those in the world who have no power, no money, no food
or have lost their way in life.
Amen.
