Year 1/2 have spent today creating Easter Gardens. They collected items from the school grounds and bought some things from their gardens at home. We found out what each part of the garden represents during the Easter story. The sticks are used to form the 3 crosses, the flowerpot creates the tomb with a large stone rolled away in front of it, the flowers and greenery show new life and the stones form a pathway for Jesus' journey through life. The children were brilliant at explaining each part of their gardens and telling the story as they displayed them. Well done Year 1/2 -what a wonderful celebration of our Easter Story showing God's love for the world!
